He was a great writer and food critic among other things. Anyway, this is not an obituary but merely a segway thought because today I’m starting my first ever blog.

I will be sharing views about art exhibitions and events that I attend.  I want to use writing and blogging as a mechanism to hone my critical voice.

I might also stray into comments on architecture and design or even talk about my own artwork (like the woodcut print above).

Will I ever be as good as AA Gill? Only if keep writing; make mistakes; learn and grow.
